Made in Chelsea OGs to return in brand new show spin-off

Must read

Made in Chelsea has announced that Binky Felstead, Rosie Fortescue and Lucy Watson will be returning to E4 for a new spin-off of the reality show.

Binky and Rosie were both original cast members when the show launched in 2011, while Lucy dramatically joined the cast in season four. She was then the first to leave the show in 2016, followed by Binky and Rosie in the years later.

The new spin-off, with the working title Beyond Chelsea, will follow up with the iconic former stars of the London reality show as they navigate new stages of their lives since taking a step back from the cameras.

E4 said the series will premiere later this year and follows the trio as well as their families and closest friends as they “juggle family life, host events and run successful businesses”.

Binky said of the announcement: “A lot has changed since I first joined Made in Chelsea 14 years ago… I’ve moved out of Chelsea, married my wonderful husband, and welcomed three beautiful children.

“I’m incredibly proud of Beyond Chelsea – a project I’ve been passionate about doing for a long time. After conversations with the girls and my MIC family at Monkey [the new show’s producer] and Channel 4, everyone gave it a resounding yes! The series reflects where I am in life now, whilst still giving a nod to the original show. It’s so exciting to see it all finally come together.”

Lucy said she “never imagined” returning to reality TV after leaving Made in Chelsea, adding: “After eight years it turns out I actually quite miss it! I’m excited to be a part of a new show, albeit nervous to share so much about my life once again.”

Rosie echoed her thoughts, saying: “I never thought I’d be back on camera, but I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to film with my best friend, set some records straight and open up my life a little more than I did in the past.”

This promises to be “an absolute treat” for OG Made in Chelsea fans, the Senior Commissioning Editor at Channel 4, Clemency Green, has said.

Green added: “These women should be celebrated for building such incredible careers since leaving the show – but it’s safe to say that, like all of us, they have had their ups and downs and life is never dull.

“We can’t wait to take fans on a journey with Binky, Rosie and Lucy, and offer an exclusive look behind the scenes at life beyond Made in Chelsea.”

Beyond Chelsea will air on E4 and be available to stream on Channel 4 later this year.
