Love Island host Maya Jama stuns in a revealing black dress as she enters the villa during tonight’s launch show.

The presenter, 29, gathers the new cast around the fire pit before revealing a shock twist, with the Islanders including Patsy Field, 29, Jess White, 25, and Sean Stone, 24, left reeling at the unexpected turn of events.

After coupling up, Maya asks the Islanders how they have found their first day in paradise, before announcing, ‘It’s good to see you’re all settled in but as you know, you’re on Love Island. You must always expect the unexpected.’

It comes after the show’s executive producer told MailOnline the lineup will be coupled up in a brand-new way this series, which could leave them vulnerable.

Mike Spencer said: ‘We have changed the day one format too and there will be something very new, it’s not a public vote… but there will be a new way to couple up our Islanders.

‘I hope it will shock the Islanders… I don’t want to say too much but there will be an element of a new game play that will lead to their couples without them knowing it.’

On keeping both the viewers and contestants on their toes this season, Mike added: I think the audience want that and they want to be entertained all series and it’s good to keep things fresh and remind them they’re here to find love.’

Maya’s shock announcement comes after the Islanders coupled up based on their own first opinions of each other.

The host asked the cast to rate each other in order of ‘who you think has come across the most like boyfriend and girlfriend material’ to ‘who has given the least relationship vibes.’

Dividing into girls and boys, the contestants agree amongst themselves but their decisions ruffle feathers within the group.

The results of the challenge determine who has coupled up with who, with Maya saying, ‘Well that was very interesting.

‘I bet you’re wondering how we’re going to couple you up. Well, you’ve done it yourselves.’

But even within their couples, they’re not safe, as producers introduce a shock twist, which could leave one pair at risk of being voted out within hours of arriving at the Mallorca villa.

This year’s lineup features the likes of Jess, who’s a retail assistant at Marks & Spencer, rugby player Ciaran Davies, 21, footballer Ronnie Vint, 27, and makeup artist Samantha Kenny, 26.

Producers are hoping the 10th year of Love Island will bring the most sex ever after introducing new rules to the villa’s Hideaway.

For the first time, Islanders won’t need to be voted in to the private quarters and can stay overnight with a contestant who they’re not coupled up with.

The Hideaway is the only area in the villa where the cast can be on their own, in contrast to the day bedroom, where they sleep side by side.
