This year’s Trooping the Colour may have shown the budding maturity of the youngest child of the Wales family, according to a lip reader.
Prince Louis, six, amused crowds at the King’s official birthday parade on June 15 and at one point became drenched with rain as storms hit the capital causing onlookers to put up a sea of umbrellas in the Mall.
Now a lip reader has revealed a sweet moment of concern expressed by the young prince as he chatted with Princess Charlotte, which suggests signs of maturity.
Louis had a five-word remark about the brave royal fans standing in the heavy downpours and said to his older sister: “They’re going to get wet!”
Earlier during the celebrations, Charlotte was taking charge of her younger brother’s antics as he yawned and was distracted from concentrating on the parade. She said to Louis “You have to stop doing that. Watch the parade” but he responded with a simple “I won’t.”
The young royal was also spotted letting out a big yawn and playing with a window blind cord as he stood with his two siblings and mother, Princess Kate.
As reported in the Mirror, body language expert, Adrianne Carter, said Louis has a “bright personality”. She explained: “Louis’ big yawn was unspotted by Kate so he was able to give it his all!”
Despite ongoing cancer treatment, Kate felt well enough to join the rest of the Royal Family for the annual military event – to the delight of fans worldwide.
It was Kate’s first official appearance of the year, since her cancer diagnosis, and King Charles and Kate showed signs of supporting one another on the Buckingham Palace balcony where royals gathered to watch the RAF flypast.
The six-year-old royal, who is known for his mischievous antics, was also spotted giving his mum a run for her money as he joined the family at this year’s Trooping the Colour.
Adrianne also explained Louis avoided a telling-off by his mum and Charlotte during the occasion.
She said: “He looks like he’s enjoying himself a bit more! Hands behind his back is something he’s obviously been told to do, maybe to help him stop fidgeting. It looks like [Princess] Charlotte spotted his little dance and told him to calm it down maybe.”
Meanwhile, big brother Prince George was seen gently guiding his younger brother Louis amidst the grandeur of the occasion.
Cameras caught the sweet interaction which showcased their close bond, with the clip going viral on social media and George was seen telling his younger brother to face the public when Louis had turned to speak to his father, Prince William.
Trooping the Colour is a key event in the royal diary and takes place every year to mark the official birthday of the British Sovereign. It dates back centuries and became an annual event from 1760.
