Lotte Card, a Korean credit card issuer, has partnered with HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions) to create a travel loyalty portal for its cardholders.
This portal, integrated into the ‘Digi-LOCA’ app, will offer a range of travel booking options, including flights, accommodations, as well as car rentals.
The partnership aims to use the travel technology of HTS – the B2B division of the global travel platform, Hopper – to provide a personalised travel experience for Lotte Card users. This initiative is also part of Lotte Card’s efforts to enhance customer value and expand its digital services.
“The partnership between HTS and Lotte Card is perfectly suited to create a curated and highly personalised travel offering for their millions of cardholders,” said Dakota Smith, CEO of HTS. “HTS’s leading travel technology will enable Lotte Card to create synergies with its existing verticals and offerings.”
Teaming up with HTS
Travel brands can partner with HTS to optimise their own direct channels by leveraging HTS’s travel and fintech offerings. HTS now accounts for two-thirds of the Hopper business and reaches millions of travellers around the world.
Lotte Card, established in 2002, is a Korean credit card company with one of the most extensive distribution and service networks in the nation. It caters to 9.35 million credit cardholders as well as around 3.13 million affiliated merchants. It focuses on creating lifestyle financial services that enhance customer value, providing benefits that customers can use at department stores, hypermarkets, home shopping, cinemas, as well as coffee shops.
James Cho, CEO of Lotte Card, also commented: “I’m very excited to have a partnership with HTS, which has experience in providing global travel services and various fintech-based ancillaries. Through solid collaboration, we’re going to create a digital platform that gives customers optimal travel experience and maximise the enjoyment of travel.”
