Coleen Nolan has announced she has split from her boyfriend Michael Jones after three years of dating.
The Loose Women star, 59, opened up about why she and her former partner, who worked as a supermarket logistics manager, decided to go their separate ways.
The pair first met on Tinder and have been dating since 2021, but the datume favourite has since revealed that the duo are better off as friends.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “We’ve decided that we would rather just stay as friends, take it as a friendship. It’s nothing to do with anyone else, it’s nobody’s fault.
“But I’m really busy and wen I’m not really busy with work I’m busy on the farm and I feel personally that I can’t give time to everything. We still get along great and hopefully we can continue to be friends, who knows?”
The musician added that se believes her upcoming milsetone birthday may have played a part in her decision to go solo.
She went on: “With it being my 60th next year, I think I haven’t got time, life’s too short. I mean, I hope I have lots of time but I’m not 20 anymore, I don’t want to wait for two years and see what happens.”
The mum-of-three added that the break-up was “sad” but she is now choosing to focus on the positive things in her life.
She added: “I really hope that once that sadness goes away we can continue to be friends. Michael came along at just the right time for me and I think over the last three-and-a-half years we’ve helped each other grow.”
Coleen has previously been married twice. She tied the knot to EastEnders star Shane Richie in 1990, welcoming two sons Jake and Shane together before they separated nine years later.
In 2007, the brunette beauty married Ray Fensome, with the pair going on to welcome their daughter Ciara six years later. The pair divorced in 2018 but remain good friends.
