Departures have been the story of the summer so far for Liverpool since the end of last season.
It started with Jurgen Klopp and six other staff members (Andreas Kornmayer, Andreas Schlumberger, John Achterberg, Pep Lijnders, Peter Krawietz and Vitor Matos). Then, ten players followed the manager out of the club earlier this month.
Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara had a send-off alongside the backroom staff at Anfield on the final day. Meanwhile, academy players Adam Lewis, Cody Pennington, Francis Gyimah, Luke Hewitson, Mateusz Musialowski, Melkamu Frauendorf, Nathan Giblin and Niall Osborne were also released. Now, another exit is official.

¡Adios Adrián!
Adrian announced his Liverpool departure on Sunday evening six days after his contract expired at the start of this month. The move comes four-and-a-half weeks after the club confirmed they had made the third-choice goalkeeper a contract offer.
The expectation is that Adrian will rejoin Real Betis, the club where he came through the academy and spent over two decades before leaving in 2013 to join West Ham United. It is the first of potentially multiple departures among the goalkeeper department as rumours continue to abound linking Caoimhin Kelleher with moves away, and reported interest exists in Alisson from Saudi Arabia.
Robertson replacement?
Liverpool reportedly have their sights set on Wolves‘ Rayan Ait-Nouri, with signing a left-back said to be a priority for the club this summer. Football Insider names the Algeria international as a target the Reds want to sign for the potential to provide backup and competition for Andy Robertson.
Such a signing would seemingly spell the end for Kostas Tsimikas, but it could also be bad news for Robertson, whose contract expires in under two years. Ait-Nouri is seven years his junior and could ultimately replace the Scotland international should Liverpool formalise any interest in the Wolves player.
