Liverpool have confirmed the departure of 10 players after revealing their retained list ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The upcoming campaign will be one of change for the Merseyside giants as Arne Slot takes up the role of first-team coach after the departure of Jurgen Klopp.
And, along with the off-field staff, there will be plenty of changes on the pitch as well as the club confirmed the exits of a number of players – most from the academy.
Last month, the Reds confirmed the news that first-team stars Thiago and Joel Matip would be departing upon the expiry of the contract.
Now, the Merseyside giants have revealed eight more names that will join them – including one youngster dubbed the ‘Polish Messi‘.
Along with the aforementioned duo, Adam Lewis, Melkamu Frauendorf, Mateusz Musialowski, Nathan Giblin, Francis Gyimah, Luke Hewitson, Niall Osborne and Cody Pennington will all leave the club.

As well as a number of notable departures, the club confirmed that first-team goalkeeper Adrian has been offered a new deal as well as academy keepers Jacob Poytress and Reece Trueman.
Back in January, Mail Sport revealed that Musialowski – nicknamed the ‘Polish Messi’ – emerged as a target for Birmingham City.
Musialowski saw a move to Austrian side TSV Hartberg fall through in the summer but other clubs have taken note of his performances in Liverpool’s youth sides.
The Reds confirmed earlier this month that first-team duo Thiago and Matip would be departing at the end of the campaign.
Spanish international Thiago departs upon the expiration of his current deal, having spent four successful years in Merseyside since joining from Bayern Munich in 2020.
The 33-year-old has won an FA Cup and the Community Shield during his time at the club, having made 98 appearances for the Reds.
Meanwhile Matip, who joined the Reds from German side Schalke in 2016, is set to embark on a new chapter in his career after his successful time at Liverpool.
In a statement on their website, the defender bid farewell with an emotional message, as he said: ‘It has been eight wonderful years here in Liverpool.
‘I was allowed to be part of an exciting history with a great coach and an astonishing team in an extraordinary club. We have achieved great titles and have the best fans in the world.
‘I am full of gratitude for the wonderful time I was able to experience with these unique people supporting the club and the fans who love Liverpool FC.
‘My wife and I have felt welcomed and supported from day one and together with the kids we had the best imaginable time here. We will always keep it in special memories.’
He’s won seven trophies with the Reds including a Premier League title, a Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.
