Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs that have been handed a boost in their pursuit of a 22-year-old attacker this summer.

A number of changes are set to be made to the squads of both clubs ahead of the 2024-25 season as they begin new eras under new head coaches.

While Liverpool have already announced that Arne Slot will succeed Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield hotseat, Chelsea are believed to be closing in on the appointment of Enzo Maresca following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino.

Reinforcement in attack could be on the cards for both the Reds and the Blues as they bid to improve on last season’s third and sixth-placed Premier League finishes respectively, and one name is understood to have caught their eye heading into the summer transfer window.

Summerville to push for Leeds exit?

Recent reports claim that Liverpool and Chelsea are among a number of Premier League clubs keepings tabs on Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville.

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion have also been credited with an interest in the Dutchman.

Interested suitors have seemingly received a boost in their pursuit of Summerville, as Football Insider reports that the attacker is set to push for a summer exit from Leeds after they failed to secure promotion back to the top flight.

The report adds that Leeds will not stand in Summerville’s way if he asks to leave, and with the player considered as one of the club’s most saleable assets, they believe that they can generate a significant sum from his departure.
