Live Devon bank holiday traffic and travel updates

There was reports of slow moving traffic due to an incident on a Devon road this morning, Monday, May 27. Traffic monitoring site Inrix reported the incident, which caused slow traffic, on B3179 Broadway. We will keep you updated with the latest information on this and other local traffic news below.

Traffic was affected in both directions at Fulford Way. The first report was published on the site at 8.50am. At 9.40am, Inrix reported that traffic had ‘returned to normal’, with the ‘accident cleared on B3179 Broadway in both directions at Fulford Way’.




It comes as thousands are expected to take to the roads this bank holiday Monday and follows a string of serious collisions in the region already across the weekend.

Inrix is reporting:

B3193 Northbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident at Clay Lane.”

Exeter traffic back to normal

Inrix reports:

Traffic returned to normal on Alphington Road at the Seven Stars Traffic Lights.”

Queues in Braunton, Saltash and Exeter

Inrix reports the following queues, with delays of 10 minutes each.

Queueing traffic on A361 in the centre of the village. Travel time is ten minutes.”

Slow traffic on A38 Eastbound before Tamar Bridge heading into Devon. Travel time is ten minutes.”

Slow traffic on Alphington Road at the Seven Stars Traffic Lights. Travel time is ten minutes.”

A303 cleared

Inrix reports at 11.25am:

Traffic easing, earlier broken down vehicle on A303 Westbound at Taunton turn off.”

At 10.30am, Inrix reports:

A303 Westbound partially blocked, slow traffic due to broken down vehicle at Taunton turn off.”

Traffic ‘returned to normal’

Inri repots at 9.40am:

traffic returned to normal, accident cleared on B3179 Broadway in both directions at Fulford Way.”
