Must read

F1 returns to Europe, after a quick hop across the pond, to resume the traditional leg of the season to heads into the summer break.

First up is the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya, which is the first round of the triple-header with Austria and Britain.

It’s a jam-packed weekend, with F2, FIA F3 and F1 Academy all on the support bill. Overall, it is the start of a critical few weeks for the grid.

A number of updates are being introduced in Barcelona, and how the next three weekends shake out will go a long way to defining the course of the rest of the year.

Can Red Bull salvage some semblance of the dominant form it enjoyed throughout 2023 and in the early part of this campaign, or is it consigned to a championship battle with the likes of McLaren and Ferrari?

Mercedes has got itself in the mix over the rounds in Monaco and Montreal, so Lewis Hamilton and George Russell fare this weekend will be very interesting.

The Brackley-based team has often gone well here in the current ground-effect era, and it had its best result of the season here last year: Hamilton finished second, with Russell rounding out the podium.
