Liam Gallagher’s son Gene is reportedly set to support Oasis on their sell-out tour.

The 23-year-old is the frontman of indie rock group Villanelle, which will be one of 10 warm-up acts when his father and uncle Noel take to the road next July, reports the Daily Mail.

Villanelle are yet to be signed by a record label, although they plan to release their first single with an independent label in November.

Gene, who was born during Liam’s six-year marriage to All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, has previously said, “I want to be the biggest band in the world.”

Singing vocals and playing lead guitar for the band, Gene was the Wonderwall singer’s warm-up act on his solo Definitely, Maybe tour this summer.

Liam reportedly made his son audition for the gig but later wrote on social media, “They’re good. I’m going to put them on first for the Definitely, Maybe tour.”

Gene and his band have spent the past year touring small UK venues.

Oasis is scheduled for a whopping 17-date tour around the UK with performances in Dublin, Liverpool, Manchester and London, with more international dates expected to be announced soon.

Gene’s older half-brother, Lennon, from Liam’s marriage to the actor Patsy Kensit, is also in a band, called Automotion.
