Amid speculation that Lewis Capaldi has a gorgeous new girl in his life after his recent split from Ellie MacDowell, the singer has responded.
Lewis and Scottish actress Ellie parted ways two months ago after two years of dating, having kept much of their romance low-key as the musician enjoys some time out of the spotlight.
Reports then surfaced this week that Lewis, 28, has been growing closer to influencer Remy O’Brien.
The pair were spotted at London celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse together this week, where A-listers frequent for boozy nights out.
Social media star Remy is often seen at star-studded events, with the likes of Noel Gallagher also at the establishment on the same night.
The Oasis star threw a Christmas bash there for his close pals, with Rocco Ritchie, Lady Mary Charteris, and Dave Gardner on the guest list.
Having had eyes on Lewis and Remy on what was believed to be a date night, a source told The Sun that they were getting on ‘really well’ and were ‘very close’ inside Chiltern.
However, Metro can confirm that the Someone You Loved hitmaker is not exclusive with Remy.
‘They are not together and are just friends,’ a representative told us.
It comes after a mole claimed Remy was ‘hanging off every word’ Lewis said on their outing.
‘Lewis and Remy went there after a gig and saw Noel and his pals there. It was a pretty raucous event and went on late into the night,’ they added.
The insider said ‘Lewis and Remy left together and appeared to be very cosy’ as they got into a waiting car.
In summer, it was confirmed that Lewis and dancer Ellie were no longer together, following reports that they were ‘in love’ and ‘couldn’t be happier’.
Alas, it wasn’t meant to be, as a source told The Sun the pair had struggled to make long-distance work with chaotic schedules.
‘Lewis and Ellie had some long conversations and decided it was best for them to end things,’ they said.
‘It was a mutual decision. They are still friends and have been talking, so all is not lost.
‘Ellie is still based in Edinburgh, and Lewis lives in London, so it’s been hard for them to see each other.’
While Lewis’s music is extremely emotional, he isn’t one for baring his soul in interviews.
But the comedic star did previously tell BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills that he had a ‘lovely’ lady in his life.
Asked if he was in a rush to settle down, he replied: ‘I have a girlfriend, and that’s going really well.
‘I am a happy chappy; she’s a lovely lady. I feel good about everything.’
Lewis is currently taking a break from the public, having cancelled numerous public commitments last year while ‘struggling’ to cope both ‘mentally and physically’ with fame.
His indefinite hiatus came after a tear-jerking Glastonbury set, during which he relied on the crowd to get him through the songs when his Tourette’s flared up.
