Leeds Rhinos have launched their alternative shirt for the 2025 Super League season with the club confirming it to be a major change.
That’s because the Rhinos are going ‘back to black’ with their alternate (away) shirt, something that they have not done since 2019. It marks a five-year trend with the club having recently donned white or navy alternatives.
However, for 2025, Brad Arthur’s side will be running out in a sleek new black shirt that features a triangular pattern with blue trim adorning the shoulders.
It had previously been confirmed that the home shirt would be a return to classic blue and amber and would also feature a collar, something that can be very marmite among fans.
For those Leeds Rhinos fans who do not like a collar, the alternative shirt is for you and can even be purchased already with the club making it available to buy in their online shop already.

Leeds Rhinos will welcome plenty of stars, both old and new, for 2025 with Ryan Hall returning for a swansong year and NRL forward duo Cooper Jenkins and Keenan Palasia both signing.
There will be more optimism for the campaign from plenty given that Brad Arthur is now locked in for the season and there was marked improvement under his coaching.
It’s now known what colours Leeds Rhinos will be wearing during that upcoming season with a statement from the club confirming the new shirt’s design and availability.
It read: “Leeds Rhinos have revealed their new alternative kit for 2025 with a unique new look predominantly black design.
“The Rhinos have maintained a dark alternative kit after last season’s dark navy kit proved popular with fans. The design is made up a triangular pattern with black and silver marks with royal blue on the shoulder.
“The Rhinos had a black away kit in 2019 and 2017 in the Super League era and wore a black and red shirt in the mid-1990s. The shirt was launched with a video featuring Rhinos stars Lachlan Miller, Sam Lisone and Jarrod O’Connor.”
Lisone commented, “I love the design and can’t wait to wear it next season. It’s nice there is some blue on there to link to our principal shirt for this season as well as the black.”
