LEANN Rimes gagged live on TV as she hilariously tried British food on This Morning today.
American singer LeAnn, 41, who has spent some time across the pond as a coach on The Voice UK, had a tough time adjusting to iconic Brits dishes on the daytime show.
The country songstress was challenged to try a variety of classic British snacks, including Scotch eggs, pork scratchings, and Bovril.
LeAnn, who seemed visibly uncomfortable with the unfamiliar flavors, struggled to enjoy the dishes.
She described the Scotch egg as “very dry” and nearly choked on it, prompting host Joel Dommett to offer her a glass of water.
The Bovril, which Rochelle Humes described as “watered-down beef,” also proved to be a challenge for LeAnn, who made a disgusted face and quickly put down the mug.
Even the more familiar pork scratchings failed to impress the country singer, who gave them a rating of one out of 10.
Longing for something sweeter, LeAnn asked for a chip or a treat, and was offered a Tunnock’s teacake.
While she appreciated the gesture, the Grammy winner admitted she wasn’t a huge fan of the Scottish classic.
The Sun revealed earlier this year how she had joined a revamped version of the ITV talent show.
With two empty spinning red chairs after Olly Murs and Anne-Marie were were axed, LeAnn let the cat out of the bag on Instagram, revealing she was dropping by Manchester where the show is filmed.
A source said at the time: “LeAnn is meeting with ITV about possibly joining The Voice UK as a coach.
“It’s very early days but they think they could carve up a good deal.
“LeAnn is an incredible talent and her record of awards and record sales speak for themselves.
“ITV thinks she would make an incredible coach and LeAnn is excited to see if she can make it work with her schedule.”
LeAnn sits on the panel alongside Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, and McFly stars Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones.
The Right Kind of Wrong hitmaker became an overnight sensation as a teenager with her songs Blue and How Do I Live.
LeAnn since had 40 chart singles during a 30-year pop career, and has been an advocate for mental health after suffering from stress and anxiety.
And she’s not camera-shy thanks to her own reality show with actor hubby Eddie Cibrian.
- The Voice UK returns to ITV1 and ITVX on 31 August.
