A horde of leaked Helldivers 2 mission types reveal an action-packed future for Arrowhead’s multiplayer game. After official word that new mission types are coming to the game, the title’s most prominent leaker has revealed a host of new objectives that are hidden in the game’s files.

Renowned leaker IronS1ghts took to Twitter to explain most of the unreleased mission type in Helldivers 2 so far. Following leaks of new Illuminate weapons and the announcement of armour customisation, these new mission objectives offer even more excitement for fans of the game.

All leaked Helldivers 2 missions so far

As posted on IronS1ghts’ Twitter account, there are a bunch leaked mission objectives with descriptors currently in the files for Arrowhead’s shooter. However, the leaker has not included any Illuminate mission objectives as they “have so much and will get their own thread” in the future. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that not every file found in datamined files will become a shippable mission.

One leaked mission from the Helldivers 2 game files tasks players with destroying an Automaton Capital Ship, one of the massive spaceships that can be seen in orbit. To do this, players will have to hack into a massive Orbital Cannon to shoot the massive vehicle down to the ground.

Another Automaton mission appears to task players with stealing the cyborgs’ bodies for research back at Super Earth. However, it’s not known how players carry and extract the corpses. One other Automaton mission sees you destroying or extracting with an Automaton chemicals silo, attempting to stop the robots’ chemical warfare.

A leaked Terminid mission type was also uncovered, an alternate Larvae objective where players must find and take a Hive Lord Larvae. A revised version of the Terminid Control System has also been found for those looking for mass extermination of the alien menace.

Two new possible side objectives have also been discovered. One objective tasks players with setting up a Communications Relay to boost comms across the planet; another side mission allows players to extract with data from a crashed drone to earn an “opportunity mission”.

There are still a host of other mission types found in Helldivers 2’s files, including many relating to the still-unreleased Illuminate fights. Now that Arrowhead has found its footing again with the game’s difficulty, the team appears set to bring loads of new content to the game in the future.
