She has since participated in countless competitions, showing a keen interest in becoming a professional in the sport.

In a documentary about the late Prince Philip, Louise opened up about how her grandfather inspired her to begin carriage driving.

She said: “The Duke of Edinburgh has been so involved in my driving which has been lovely, but slightly scary because he invented the sport pretty much.

“But it’s incredible to have learned first-hand from him and definitely made us closer, I think.

“After a competition, he would always ask how he went, his eyes would light up because he would get so excited when he talks about it.”

Alison Lancaster, the co-founder of Pressat, spoke exclusively to GB News about Lady Louise’s career path.

She said: “Lady Louise has been killing it in the uniquely British hobby of carriage driving. I love how it subverts expectations.”

The PR expert also opened up about Louise and her fellow royal cousins, Zara Tindall, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and what they represent.

Lancaster explained: “Collectively, Zara, Beatrice, Eugenie and Louise offer this portrait of a modern, multidimensional young royal woman that could seriously resonate, cutting against those dusty preconceptions of princes and palaces.

“King Charles should give the people what they want – representation that mirrors their realities.

“From an optics perspective, making them working royals is an absolute win for the Firm.

“It shows they’re listening, evolving with the times, and clearing a new generational path forward. It would be a symbolic progressive gesture.”
