King Charles gave Harry cutting four-word response to latest olive branch

King Charles reportedly gave his younger son, Prince Harry, a crushing four-word reply when he offered him an olive branch during his latest visit to the UK, it has been claimed.

The Duke of Sussex returned to his home country for a second time this year in May, where he attended a special service at St. Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games.

Harry previously dashed back to Britain in February after the monarch announced his shock cancer diagnosis, with the pair meeting briefly at Clarence House.

But during his latest trip, he failed to meet with any members of his family and according to a source, his request to meet with his father was met with a cutting four-word response.

According to the Mirror, when the duke contacted his father to ask for a meeting before the anniversary service at St Paul’s Cathedral, he was told the monarch could gladly do so “if he is able”.

They said at the time: “Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can.”

But the duke did not meet with his father, with one of his [Harry’s] spokespeople saying it was due to the monarch’s “full programme”.

They said: “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.

“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

King Charles made his gradual return to public-facing duties during the period Harry returned to the UK after taking a short break to focus on his cancer treatment.

The monarch was diagnosed with a form of cancer back in February but has since made a full return to royal engagements.

The King’s last appearance took place last Thursday when he attended a reception for European Leaders at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock.
