Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna – who has overseen back-to-back promotions over the past two seasons – isn’t short of suitors as multiple Premier League clubs look for replacements this summer.
The interest in McKenna is evidenced in the betting lines, with the 38-year-old the 11/10 favourite to succeed Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton.
In addition to Brighton’s interest, McKenna has also been linked with the Chelsea job after Mauricio Pochettino decided to leave the club by mutual consent earlier this week.
McKenna is a favourite, second favourite and fifth favourite for three separate managerial jobs
At the time of writing, McKenna is the second favourite at 7/2 to be the next Blues manager – behind that of the aforementioned De Zerbi who is odds-on at 7/4.
Another managerial position that has had plenty of speculation surrounding it is Manchester United.
While Erik ten Hag remains as Man United boss there are many who are of the belief that the Dutchman’s time at Old Trafford could be coming to an end.
United lost 14 matches in the English top-flight this season – the club’s most in the Premier League-era. Couple that with a Champions League exit in the group stages, and there’s a good chance ten Hag will need an upset victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final if he is to save his job.
For those anticipating United to lose to City and ten Hag to subsequently be shown the door – McKenna is a wider 8/1 with Sky Bet to be the next manager at Old Trafford.
That is good for fifth favourite.
