A Kent school has won a four-night Disney cruise trip for a whole class in a nationwide competition.
Radio host Roman Kemp sparked joy at Goat Lees Primary School in Ashford by revealing up to 30 pupils will enjoy the sailing this summer.
Year 5 teacher Emma Chapman submitted a 60-second video explaining why her class should win the Ultimate School Trip with Disney Cruise Line contest.
She was praised by judges at Disney for her “fun and creative” video, and her pupils will now experience the “magical four-night sailing” onboard the Disney Dream ship from August 12-16.
The ship will sail from Southampton to La Rochelle in southwest France.
Organisers say the group will take part in “uniquely crafted” lessons, including drama with the cast of the Beauty & The Beast Theatre Show, science with Stitch and PE on Goofy’s Sports Deck.
Each pupil will be able to bring up to three friends or family members on the trip.
Miss Chapman said: “I am really thrilled for my class to have won the Ultimate School Trip with Disney Cruise Line.
“I’m so excited for them to be able to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience and I can’t wait to set sail. It’s such a lovely surprise and it’s going to be so much fun.”
