A man has been arrested after a person was seen throwing items on to railway tracks for more than 24 hours, causing “major disruption” to train services in London.
Police were called to Russell Gardens Mews, near Kensington Olympia station, at 04:21BST on Monday to reports of a man on a roof.
Items including a chimney pot were seen being thrown.
The incident caused London Overground and Southern services to be affected throughout the day.
The Met Police said the man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, obstructing a railway with intent and public nuisance.
London Overground trains were suspended between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction, while National Rail reported “major disruption” to Southern services between Watford Junction/Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction.
Shortly before 05:00 BST on Tuesday, the man came down and was arrested, the Met said.
He was then taken to hospital as a precaution, the force added.
