Kayla Itsines’ favourite fat-burning snack revealed

Fitness influencer Kayla Itsines has shared a fat-busting recipe after fans slammed her for her so-called ‘indulgent’ diet on holiday.  

The 33-year-old, who now calls the Gold Coast home, recently traveled to Japan and America and ate avocado toast, fruit, smoothies and sushi the whole time. This concerned many who said it was far from ‘relaxed’.

Now back at home, Kayla is back to her old habits and sharing her go-to snacks as the cooler months kick in.

The influencer takes two Cruskits crispbreads and loads them up with a generous protein and healthy fat packed combination of canned tuna fresh avocado and cucumber slices.

She then tops it with fresh dill, chilli flakes, olive oil, lemon juice and sea salt.

Many fans were quick to praise the snack, with one dubbing it their ‘favourite lunch at the moment’.

Kayla reassured followers that they could adjust the toppings and seasoning to suit their preference, making this a great quick, easy and cheap option for anyone hungry for a new idea.

Being a successful fitness influencer means that Kayla’s approach to eating is definitely on the cleaner side, but some followers were quick to point out that what she ate on holiday was hardly vacation-worthy.

‘Is this really indulging? This looks like my healthiest days,’ one follower quipped.

Her Instagram boasted a collage of images displaying chopped fruits, vegetables, avocado on toast, burritos, sushi and scrambled eggs that she enjoyed while on her recent jaunts through Japan and America 

She even stopped in L.A for one of Erewehon cafe’s famous designer smoothies which can cost upwards of $20. This came with a reminder that ‘that you should enjoy yourself, especially while on holiday’.

Some were a little bewildered by Kayla’s advice, with one user urging her to ‘read the room’ and realise that for most people, this type of healthy food in smaller portions hardly counts as relaxed holiday-style eating.
