Katie Price ‘concerns’ judge by missing yet another court date over £40k bill

Katie Price has missed yet another court hearing over her bankruptcy battles. The former glamour model has left a judge feeling “concerned” after failing to turn up for court.

At a hearing this morning (August 19) it emerged that Price made almost £95,000 on TikTok between March and May this year. An order was then reportedly made by Judge Catherine Burton, where Price would be required to pay trustees 40 per cent of those earnings.

Judge Burton went on to say it was “appropriate” to order the “suspension of further payments” to Price from the social media platform until a solution could be found. The judge also remarked that she was “concerned” after the former glamour model had missed the hearing.

Judge Burton previously said Price had failed to make the payments ordered by the court. She was ordered to pay a one-off payment of £25,000 followed by monthly instalments of £12,500.

The judge said: “They have not received any funds or explanation. She agreed to pay it and did not. She remains immediately obliged to pay £25,000.”

The model is believed to owe £761,994.05 to HM Revenue and Customs, a court was told in March. Katie, 46, first landed in big trouble after skipping a previous hearing on July 30 and instead jetted to Turkey for surgery.

She was later arrested by police as she arrived back into the UK at Heathrow Airport. Price then appeared at the Royal Courts of Justice, in London, on August 9.

While there, Judge Schaffer issued another court date, telling Price: “You have to attend that date, no ifs or buts, no holidays, no going abroad, you have to attend that date.” She confirmed that she understood that she must attend and later added: “I will move my diary for it.”

While Katie is publicly facing her financial battles, one of her kids, Junior, seems to be living his best life. He was spotted attending a bash to celebrate three decades of The Fragrance Shop in London on Thursday evening.

Aspiring singer Junior, who hopes to follow in his crooner dad Peter Andre’s footsteps in showbiz, was soaking up the publicity opportunities at the party venue in Greenwich. The 19-year-old donned wax-coated leather-look trousers and a Death Row Records bomber jacket as he pointed his finger triumphantly at the camera.

Around the same time, his mum made a plea over her disabled eldest son, Harvey. He is living with autism, visual impairments, as well as the rare genetic disorder Prader-Willi syndrome, which is linked to obesity, type 2 diabetes, lower IQ and various behavioural issues.

Posting to Instagram, Katie wrote about her arrest, saying: “I do hope of course for my son’s sake who is with me that they will allow some dignity and protection for at least his sake as this will be extremely disturbing for him to see.

“Whilst I understand the importance and severity of the matter I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal.”
