Kate Moss has gone Posh… by launching a signature make-up range just like her fashion rival.

The 50-year-old will flog cosmetics under her full name in a marketing move that helped fellow style queen Victoria Beckham rake in a fortune. Supermodel Kate lodged a trademark application in December and was given the go-ahead in March.

It means she can now sell her own cosmetic essentials, such as lip gloss, mascara, eyeshadow and blush. Although her precise plans are yet to be announced, the patent includes a handwritten logo featuring Kate’s name followed by a love heart. And documents sent to the Intellectual Property Office show a string of other possible products – including Kate Moss eyewear and stationery. Her latest venture follows the apparent flop of her wellness brand, Cosmoss, which owed lenders more than £405,000 in April last year.

The firm sells 20 herbal tea bags for £20, as well as perfumes, skin creams – including a £105 “regenerating face oil” – and a £125 Sacred Mist room spray. Kate, whose daughter Lila, 21, is also a model, was once nicknamed The Tank in her wild-child days, thanks to her drinking.

But she went teetotal six years ago and now lives a much quieter life in the Cotswolds – where she says she prefers meditation to partying. She told Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: “I like to go to bed, get up early and do my meditation before anyone is up.”

Victoria Beckham Beauty, launched in 2019 by the former Spice Girl, became an overnight success thanks to her Satin Kajal Liner, which has 16 colours and has been hailed as “the perfect piece of make-up” by women across the globe. Its popularity was boosted by WAG-cum-fashion designer Victoria offering tutorials on TikTok and Instagram, and pals claiming she uses it herself.

Kate was approached for comment.
