Princess Kate and Prince William have issued a “reset to end all resets” as the Waleses are forging a new path, according to insiders.
The Princess of Wales announced in a new video that she has finished her course of preventative chemotherapy, which she began earlier this year.
The emotional video featured Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as well as Carole and Michael Middleton.
Kate, 42, could be seen driving a car and standing at the base of a tree in a wood, echoing her previous statement that she is “not out of the woods yet” with her recovery journey.
The three-minute video was filmed in Norfolk last month, and Kate also admitted she is looking forward to returning to performing a few royal engagements in the upcoming weeks.
In times gone by, the only updates about royal health were delivered either in the courtyard of Buckingham Palace or via curt announcements on the BBC.
Kate’s new video, directed by Will Warr, signified a massive and abrupt shift in the tone of royal messaging.
In the clip, the princess said: “Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus.

“My path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”
The words were accompanied by artsy, atmospheric images of very private family life, with Kate, Prince William and their children playing and hugging in the Norfolk countryside.
Kate and William could be seen being more affectionate with each other than the public has ever seen before.
One friend of William and Kate told The Daily Beast: “It’s the reset to end all resets.

“This is Kate and William as they mean to go on. It helps that they actually are like this.
“If you go to a kid’s birthday party at their house, they will be the ones organising games for all the kids whereas the rest of us would happily get an entertainer in and be drinking wine in the kitchen.”
Similar to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Kate has never given a personal interview. She has guarded her privacy by never talking about herself, her feelings, her opinions or her emotions.
In the deeply personal video released Monday, Kate broke this habit and spoke about her hopes and fears for herself and her family for the first time.
