But in Trump’s full comments he had criticised the vice-president for attending the rally with the star at a time when Israel was launching retaliatory strikes on Iran.
“Tonight, the Middle East is a tinderbox. It’s ready to explode. People are being killed… and that’s taking place right now”, Trump told the crowd in Traverse City.
He added: “Nobody is in charge. Joe Biden is asleep, and Kamala is at a dance party with Beyoncé.”
KamalaHQLies, an account on X which responds to the KamalaHQ’s posts, accused the account of sharing the “lie” that Trump had attacked Beyoncé.
KamalaHQ, which has 2.4 million followers across X and Instagram, has on several occasions been accused of sharing misleadingly edited clips of Trump.
Misleading videos
Fact checkers at CNN previously found eight examples of misleading videos shared by the account between mid-August and September.
A string had been edited to suggest Trump was confused about which state he was in in an attempt to draw attention to Trump’s age, which had been Mr Biden’s biggest weakness on the campaign trail when he was the Democratic candidate.
One clip suggested Trump was confused about where he was during a rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
The footage showed the Republican nominee standing behind a podium which says “text Pennsylvania”, turning to the right of the stadium, and saying: “Would that be OK, North Carolina? I don’t think so, right.”
Alongside the clip shared on August 17, KamalaHQ wrote: “He is in Pennsylvania.” On Instagram, the account added: “Donald Trump is lost and confused.”
But footage from the rally showed that earlier in his speech, Trump had addressed several groups in the stands, including one from North Carolina who had attended hundreds of his rallies.
The latest allegations come after CBS was accused of bias for editing Ms Harris’s 60 Minutes interview to make one of her answers “more succinct”.
A preview that aired a day before the interview showed Ms Harris giving a rambling answer to a question about Israel, but when the 60 Minutes episode was shown the following day her answer to the same question was shorter.
CBS denied Trump’s claims it had deliberately edited the interview to make her appear more competent as “false”.
The network said at the time: “The portion of her answer on 60 Minutes was more succinct, which allows time for other subjects in a wide-ranging 21-minute-long segment.”
The Telegraph contacted the Harris campaign for comment.
