Jos Verstappen has insisted he is “done” with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, who he described as “childish” for sabotaging his plans to drive in this weekend’s Legends Parade.
The Red Bull Legends Parade will take place this weekend at the Red Bull Ring, and was set to see Max Verstappen’s father drive the RB8 from 2012 in the event which has become part of the Austrian Grand Prix.Â
It sees several historic cars complete show laps of the Red Bull Ring.
The RB8 was driven by Sebastian Vettel on his way to a third consecutive title, following a thrilling season-long battle with Fernando Alonso.Â
However, the ex-Dutch F1 driver has claimed that he has been blocked from taking part in the event by Horner, something Red Bull has not commented on after being approached by RacingNews365.
As a result, Verstappen Sr has withdrawn himself from the Red Bull Legends Parade and has hit out at the Red Bull team boss, who supposedly was going to block all filming.
“How childish can you be,” Verstappen said of the boycott to Formule1.nl. Â
“There was going to be filming, for example also with a drone, but Horner didn’t want me to be filmed.
“I’m completely finished with Horner. It’s like a kindergarten here. I would have been allowed to ride in the end, but I backed out. I find this so childish of Horner, but I think it says something about him.”
