Jos Verstappen has insisted he is “done” with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, who he described as “childish” for sabotaging his plans to drive in this weekend’s Legends Parade.

The Red Bull Legends Parade will take place this weekend at the Red Bull Ring, and was set to see Max Verstappen’s father drive the RB8 from 2012 in the event which has become part of the Austrian Grand Prix.

2024 F1 Austrian Grand Prix – sprint qualifying results

Max Verstappen will start the Austrian Grand Prix sprint race from pole position, following a stellar in SQ3. 

The reigning world champion was just under one-tenth faster than Lando Norris who joins him on the front row for the sprint race.

McLaren deliver latest upgrade in battle with Red Bull

McLaren has brought an upgrade to its cars for this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix as it continues its pace battle with Red Bull.

A year ago, McLaren rolled out a major upgrade package that lifted it away from the back of the grid following an abysmal start to the campaign, albeit one it had forecast in pre-season as it knew it was behind in its development.

Verstappen escapes penalty after unusual rules breach

Max Verstappen has escaped an Austrian Grand Prix penalty even before on-track action gets underway after a stewards summons. 

The world champion was selected as one of the five drivers to be present during the official FIA press conference at the Red Bull Ring, but was late arriving to join Charles Leclerc, Logan Sargeant, Zhou Guanyu and Yuki Tsunoda.

Horner responds to Jos Verstappen allegations

Christian Horner has responded to comments made by Jos Verstappen, alleging the Red Bull team principal intervened to prevent him participating in the the Legends Parade at the Austrian Grand Prix.

Friday morning in Styria was dominated by speculation that the 50-year-old had moved to prevent the father of his star driver taking part in the Red Bull event, with Jos originally slated to drive the RB8 from 2012.
