Jonathan Anderson Presents Reaffirms Radical Silhouettes Through Opulence for LOEWE SS25

Must read

Jonathan Anderson continues to expand signature LOEWE house codes with contemporary silhouettes, tasteful details and approachable styling. For Spring/Summer 2025, Anderson explores micro and macro scales, affirming a vertical silhouette that is quite radical.

Opening the collection with a black tailored suit, LOEWE leans into the slim silhouette, yet shows off the texture and how it responds to volume. Featuring elongated oxfords, the entire getup takes on a slender shape. Every item is meticulously precise and while at a glance the details feel minimal, the art of reduction comes through as Anderson focuses on premium quality and understated opulence.

The focal point of the collection was how the pieces transitioned in movement. Trousers moved back to front while a coat is captured opening at the front and kept frozen still in time. Knitted trousers and metal woven tank tops act as a kind of armour for various occasions. Materials were created with opulence, capturing a top made of mother of pearl. LOEWE’s moniker turns into a dramatized top, all complementing the added head piece of long feathers that draw a line in the middle of the face or hiding the face from the audience. Necklines and outlines were forgiving, while a iconic LOEWE pieces like the Puzzle bag and Pebble soft hobo bag get a refreshed new attitude.
