John Lewis has declared that its “buzz is back” as it announced a multimillion-pound makeover of its Oxford Street store, including the addition of a Jamie Oliver cookery school and revamped beauty hall.
Shoppers at the London store will soon be able to enjoy more than 40 different cooking classes led by the celebrity chef’s team. The cookery school, set to open in March 2025, will have two classrooms and a 50-seat café.
The collaboration is part of an £800 million initiative by John Lewis over four years aimed at improving its shopping experience and regaining its status as middle England’s favourite retailer. About half of that money will be invested in its 34 stores.
The retailer has also revamped its beauty counters
