Joe Rogan says Hawk Tuah girl is ‘smart’ for thing she did after video went viral

Must read

If you’ve not seen the viral ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl, then you’ve clearly been living under a rock.

US woman Hailey Welch rose to fame over night after giving out some pretty X-rated dating advice, which included spitting on a man’s… you know what…

More explicitly, when asked for Tim & Dee TV ‘what move in bed makes a man go crazy’, she said: “You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thing, you get me?”

And of course, the male audience loved her for it.

But it’s not just the everyday Joe who became a fanboy. It’s celebrity interviewer and all-around podcast winner, Joe Rogan, who is enamoured.

But not for the reason you think.

Yes, the appeal of the Hawk Tuah can’t be disputed, but neither can her smarts.

According to Rogan, she is a very ‘smart’ woman for one main thing – and it’s not her Hawk Tuah comment.

The clip has meant that she gained thousands of besotted fans for her dedication to her opinion, but what she did after deserves much more attention.

Not only did Welch go on to create her own merch with hats and t-shirts brandishing her saying, but she’s also made bag out of it.

So far in the last week, she’s reportedly made over $65,000 in sales. Now that’s crazy.

Due to this, Rogan spoke about the video on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.

He said: “I love moments like that, where one weird video, it’s so funny that the whole world sees. Especially the way she says it. Like that lady, she’s not pretending. She’s not posing.”

He said ‘she’s probably panicking’, until comedian Brian Simpson told him that Welch is making ‘Hawk Tuah’ merchandise and is even in cahoots with the clothing brand Fathead Threads because of the video.

That’s when he said: “Oh, I need to buy a shirt!”

And when he was informed of how much money she’s made so far, he responded: “It is smart that she jumped right on it, because you gotta think it’s only been a few days.”

The pair even went on to joke that the guys who have first-hand experience of her hawk tuah are going to capitalise on her fame.

Rogan said: “Those guys are about to make some TikTok videos, just like sitting there with a cup of coffee on the porch, like ‘let me tell you something. It’s real’.”

Even after all of her fame, it didn’t stop people from trying to make up fake news, like when a Facebook group claimed she had lost her teaching job because of her dating advice.

It was only recently found that the Tippah County Tribune, which claimed to have a statement from both Welch and Welch’s former employer, was a satirical news page.

Ergo- fake news page.

The Tribune claimed Welch told them she wanted retribution for the school sacking her and the school allegedly told the outlet that kids started to spit on each other after seeing her video.

Both claims have officially been debunked so now, she can enjoy her life off her merch profits and newfound fame!
