Wakefield-headquartered business, Strong Life Care, has bought its fifth purpose built care home, Hesslewood House Care Home in Hessle.

The multi-million pound acquisition has been made possible though a finance package provided by NatWest.

The care home will provide elderly residential and specialist dementia care for the area.

Its purchase not only expands Strong Life Care’s portfolio but ensures the continuity of 65 jobs.

Additionally, the deal includes refinancing for the company’s existing four care homes located in Barnsley, Tuxford and Wakefield, further solidifying its position in the healthcare sector.

Harpreet Banwait, managing director and founder of Strong Life Care, set up the business in 2010.

His inspiration stemmed from a personal journey, as his own family had faced challenges in finding quality care for their grandfather. In 2010, the company acquired its first care home, Thornhill House, in Barnsley.

Meurig Edwards, relationship director at NatWest, said: “We are happy to support Harpreet and Strong Life Care in this significant milestone.

“Harpreet’s dedication to providing exemplary care, and his commitment to community and philanthropy, align with our values of supporting businesses that make a positive impact in their communities.”

Banwait added: “I am grateful for the partnership with NatWest, which has enabled us to expand our operations and continue our mission of being one of the UK’s best and most diverse care providers.

“We remain committed to our vision of growth and service excellence, with plans to further expand our footprint in the care sector this year and making a bigger impact through our Family Foundation.”
