Jet2 launches new European programme to ‘once-in-a-lifetime destination’ from all 12 UK airport bases

Many Britons will have already planned their summer holidays and be keen to book their winter break.

With the help of Jet2 and Jet2CityBreaks, holidaymakers can experience the beautiful landscapes of Iceland via 12 UK airports. Flights will go to KeflavĂ­k International Airport near Reykjavik.


The airline said: “Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have announced details of their once-in-a-lifetime trips to Iceland for Winter 25/26, revealing a programme that offers customers and independent travel agents an unrivalled choice of departure points, including flights and city breaks from new UK airport bases Bournemouth and Liverpool John Lennon.

“With holidaymakers flocking to book flights and holidays to this bucket list destination, the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest operator of city breaks to Europe have launched their biggest ever Iceland programme for next winter, which covers all 12 of their UK airport bases.”

Britons across the UK will be able to access the programme. Jet2 added: “In addition to operating to Iceland from brand-new airports, Bournemouth (an exclusive route) and Liverpool John Lennon for the first time, services are also on sale to the once-in-a-lifetime destination from Belfast International, Bristol, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International Airports.

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will operate more than 170 outbound services between October 2025 and April 2026.

The airline said: “This provides customers and independent travel agents with incredible choice when it comes to seeing the Northern Lights and the abundance of natural wonders that Iceland has to offer.”

The versatile programme will allow Britons to travel at several stages across Winter 25/26. Holidaymakers can visit Iceland over the October half-term, February half-term, Easter holidays and in the countdown to Christmas.

As well as providing customers with plenty of flexibility when it comes to which month or period they want to travel.

For those keen to see a stunning natural phenomenon, the flights are “perfectly timed for those wanting to witness the spectacular Northern Lights and experience the best of Iceland”.

Jet2 said: “The release of the programme today is the earliest the companies have ever put their Iceland programme on sale, giving holidaymakers the opportunity to book ahead and tick the destination off their bucket list.

There is plenty to see in Reykjavik, from the largest church in the country, Hallgrimskirkja, to the Glacier Lagoon, to the Skogafoss waterfall.

One visitor to the Glacier Lagoon called it “breathtaking” on Tripadvisor, while another called it a “must-see”.

A visitor to Skogafoss called it “spectacular”, with “fantastic views of the surrounding country and the ocean in the distance”.
