Jet2 has issued an important update for passengers flying from Manchester Airport this summer, alerting them to potential disruptions.
As the summer season approaches, bringing with it a surge in international travel, Jet2 has released several advisories for holidaymakers. One key notice highlights road closures that could affect travellers heading to Manchester Airport, urging them to “please allow enough time”.
The airline’s website cautions: “We have been made aware of roadworks between Junction 5 and 6 of the M56 beginning Monday 10th June expecting to be completed by the end of August 2024.”
It continues: “There will be closures of the M56, please refer to National Highways for specific dates and times of closures throughout this time frame. Diversions will be clearly signposted throughout this time.”
Jet2 emphasises the importance of allowing ample time for travel to Manchester Airport as all flights operated by Jet2.com are scheduled to proceed as planned.
Additionally, Jet2 advises all passengers to verify the latest flight details on its website “at least 12 hours before your flight for the latest flight information” and to be at the “departure airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time.”
The guidance from Jet2 concludes: “In the event of any flight delays further information can be found by using the above search panel by entering your flight number or route. As a reminder check in desks will close 40 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
“Please allow enough to time to travel to Manchester Airport as all Jet2.com flights are due to operate as scheduled.”
