Jeremy Clarkson faces fresh complaint over ‘dangerous’ method to ward off intruders from farm

Jeremy Clarkson has been hit with a fresh complaint over an “unsafe” plan he has implemented at Diddly Squat Farm.

The former Top Gear star, 64, has come up with a way to ward off nosy visitors to his Oxfordshire land, which has been met with some backlash over concerns it could be “dangerous”.

Clarkson is hoping to line his farm, which is next to a public footpath, with beehives in an attempt to keep unwanted visitors at bay.

It’s been reported the Clarkson’s Farm star has set up 11 beehives behind a five foot hedge at the entrance of a lane which leads to Diddly Squat. While vehicles can’t access the lane, the path is open for walkers.

His decision comes after the success of his Amazon Prime series, which has led to intrusion from intrigued fans hoping to catch a glimpse at the famous farm.

Clarkson has claimed trespassers have become a problem since the series, which stars himself and Kaleb Cooper, launched.

However, it’s been reported one local has made a complaint about their concerns regarding Clarkson’s privacy tactic.

According to MailOnline, the Oxfordshire resident explained they’d been stung by a bee during a walk with their dog close to the farm.

“I got stung a few weeks ago and don’t go up there anymore,” they stated. “He doesn’t want people looking at his house or going in there and that’s understandable.

“I understand that Jeremy doesn’t want fans walking onto his land to try and find him but it seems a bit dangerous to have so many beehives close to a public lane hidden behind a big hedge.”

However, Gerald Cooper, who collaborates with Clarkson and his sidekick Cooper on the farm, has defended the idea.

He told the publication: “It’s the summer, there are a lot of bees flying around and bee stings happen.

“What’s the fuss? These bees are not dangerous, I don’t know what people are moaning about.”

Gerald’s comments come soon after he left fans delighted after issuing a health update following his cancer battle.

Last month, the Clarkson’s Farm official X account gave an update on Cooper which left fans excited to see the “head of security” back in and around the farm.

Cooper was missing from the first four episodes of season three before Jeremy Clarkson gave viewers the devastating news that his colleague and friend had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
