Friends actress Jennifer Aniston got married to Brad Pitt, 61, in 2001, and they finalised their divorce in October 2005. Angelina Jolie, 49, announced she was expecting a baby with the actor in January 2006.

She and Brad reportedly fell in love while working on Mr and Mrs Smith, which they filmed in 2004.

The 55-year-old Emmy winner’s first and only encounter with Angelina occurred in the car park on the Friend’s set in the same year.

“I pulled over and introduced myself,” Jennifer recalled to Vanity Fair. “I said, ‘Brad is so excited about working with you. I hope you guys have a really good time.'”

Brad and Angelina – who famously became known as “Brangelina” – starred as love interests in the film Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005.

Just months later, Brad and Jennifer announced they were separating and he later married Angelina.

Jennifer and Brad finalised their divorce in October 2005, Angelina was two months pregnant with their daughter Shiloh and the couple were in the process of adopting more children.

The Friends star said she’d love the two-time Oscar winner “for the rest of my life” and they did share a warm exchange backstage at the 2020 SAG Awards – with her and Brad remaining on good terms since their split.

Brad and Angelina share children Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, now 16.

The former couple tied the knot in August 2014 but called it quits just five years later.

Angelina and Brad have reportedly reached a settlement in their divorce after an ongoing legal battle in court.

Her legal team confirmed that the former Hollywood power couple put pen to paper on their divorce documents last Monday, December 30.

A source disclosed to People magazine: “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.

“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
