THE makeup maven behind many of the looks on Jenna Ortega’s Beetlejuice press tour has a simple beauty trick.
She revealed that she used the same lipliner on the screen queen’s mouth and eyes to give her a cool ’90s vibe.
Jenna’s latest film, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, is set to hit theatres on September 6.
It is a sequel to the 1988 hit Beetlejuice, also directed by Tim Burton.
Jenna starts as Astrid Deetz, the daughter of Winona Ryder’s reprised character from the first film, Lydia.
Jenna has been busy with several press events recently, promoting the film.
On August 28, the cast walked the red carpet premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
Many of her outfits channel the aesthetic of the film and mirror that of Winona Ryder’s Lydia.
Jenna’s hairstylist Bobby Eliot (@bobbyeliot) shared a few snaps he took of one of her tour looks in an Instagram post.
A commenter said that it was “giving Jenna Ortega+Billie Eilish” energy.

Her makeup artist, Melanie Inglessis (@melaniemakeup), shared some behind-the-scenes beauty details about it in another post that attracted attention.
Jenna’s eyes were accentuated with a dark liner that highlighted her eyes and a nude lip.
“We went for a ’90s vibe with a soft smoky winged liner and a lip liner that shows,” Inglessis explained in the caption.
She shared her stealthy trick to achieve it.
Inglessis explained that she used the same brown pencil for the lips and the eyes.
Her product of choice? Make Up For Ever’s lipliner in the shade Endless Cacao.
To make the eye area look a little different, she added that she blended it with a black pencil.
“Love this look!” she wrote.
