Jake Paul has given an update on his fight with Mike Tyson

Jake Paul has confirmed his bout with Mike Tyson will still take place as scheduled, despite the boxing legend suffering a medical emergency.

American YouTuber Paul and former world heavyweight champion Tyson will meet over eight two-minute rounds in front of up to 90,000 fans at the AT&T Stadium. The fight is currently set to take place in July.

But doubts were thrown over the likelihood of it taking place when 57-year-old Tyson requried medical attention while on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. The incident took place during a flight on Sunday evening.

But despite concern from some over Tyson’s readiness to fight given the incident, Paul has moved to downplay those worries. In an X-rated tweet, the American insisted that ‘nothing has changed’.

“You love to make s*** up before knowing the facts for clicks / likes. Nothing changed,” Paul wrote in his update. Tyson’s team also insisted he would be ready to fight, blaming the medical emergency on a fault with the plane.

“Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great,” read a statement issued to Mirror Fighting. “He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing.

“He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him. However, it’s false reporting that his medical attention caused the flight delay. This two hour delay was due to air conditioning issue on the aircraft.”
