Jaden Philogene Hull City decision as Everton, Villa and Ipswich prepare bids

Must read

Hull City star Jaden Philogene linked up with the rest of the Tigers’ squad at Riva for the first full day of the Tigers’ training camp in Istanbul.

Philogene, along with Jacob Greaves were both left behind in England when the rest of the squad flew out from Humberside Airport on Tuesday as moves were expected to be completed, but arrived later on Tuesday night at the home of Turkish Football Federation.

Ipswich Town remain the favourites to sign the 22-year-old winger while Everton and his former club Aston Villa remain firmly in the race with Villa activating their right to match any bids received by the Tigers, as per the terms of the deal they struck with City 12 months ago.

City are prepared to keep Philogene at the club this season if an acceptable deal cannot be reached, Hull Live understands.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are expected to announce the arrivals of a defender and striker in what will be a huge boost to Tim Walter as he looks to bolster his ranks.

Tigers owner Acun Ilicali has already indicated signings will be on the way, telling us: “We need at least, eight or nine new players. We need a centre back and we are about to get our right back soon. I would say that we need three midfielders and we need one centre-back, we also need two more wingers plus two strikers. The striker and right-back are very close.”
