Partick Thistle can today confirm that Jack McMillan has chosen to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract.
Jack was made an offer to remain at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill but has decided that his future lies elsewhere.
McMillan has spent two stints in Maryhill, initially joining the club on loan from Livingston in 2019 playing 16 times as the Jags avoided relegation in the Championship.
He would rejoin the club in the summer of 2022, signing a two-year deal and featuring in every single game of the 2022/23 campaign as Thistle made it to the Premiership play-off final.
This past season McMillan played 37 times in total scoring twice and setting up five goals.
He departs the Wyre Stadium at Firhill having played 105 games across two-and-a-half seasons with Partick Thistle.
All at the club thank Jack for his contributions in red and yellow and wish him the best for the future.
Thistle manager Kris Doolan said:
“Jack has been an important part of our team ever since I became manager here so naturally I was keen to keep him at the club but a new opportunity in England has come up for him that he wanted to take on so all we can do is wish him the best of luck.
“Players moving on is an inevitable part of football so we’ll move forward with the players who want to be here. We’ve got 18 players already signed up and I’m working to add to that before we come back for pre-season.”
