A personal trainer who appeared on a celebrity podcast has moved from a town’s gym into a new venue in order to expand the services she offers.

Heather Walker started personal training at Everybody’s Gym in Spalding after losing a staggering 11 stone 6 lbs following a battle with depression in 2017.

She has now moved her Tall Girls Fitness business into the Total Health Clinic on Church Street, which houses a brand new gym, in order to expand her clientele.

Ms Walker said: “I have been running my business from there for the past two weeks.

“There are in-house physios which comes in handy.

“I want to work with post-natal clients and those with autism, learning difficulties and elderly people.”

The community-minded PT appeared on Gemma Atkinson’s Overshare Podcast chatting about body image.

She will run HITT classes and wants to make a difference to people’s lives in the same way that exercise has benefitted her.

She said: “I am a very community-led person and I am passionate about what I do.

“I am passionate about helping others in general.

“It is okay to be a good weight, look after ourselves and be aesthetically pleasing but it is important to feel good.”

The new space will take the pressure off she feels clients may feel walking into a commercial gym, particularly if someone has recently had a baby.

She said: “It can sometimes be intimidating and if someone is lacking confidence it is a big step walking into the gym.

“It is all this equipment and me so there isn’t the pressure of being in a commercial gym.

“I want to work with different people so that everyone feels included.
