Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian young man on Saturday, while he was near the Apartheid Wall in the village of Faqqu’a, northeast of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its ambulance crews transported an injured young man to the Jenin Governmental Hospital, after occupation forces shot him in the thigh with live ammunition.
Media sources said that Israeli forces opened fire at the young man, Hussein Abdul Qader Hussein Khudour, 37, shooting him in the thigh while he was in the vicinity of the Apartheid Wall, built on Palestinian lands in the village of Faqqu’a.
Later it was revealed that the army denied the young man medical treatment by prevented ambulances from reaching him for at least two hours; he was later pronounced dead from his wounds.
Palestinian residents of Faqqu’a village gathered in front of the Jenin Governmental Hospital to receive the body of the slain young man, Hussein Abdul Qader Hussein Khudour.
Mourners marched to the family’s home in Faqqu’a village carrying the young man’s body on their shoulders, before burying him in the village cemetery.
Meanwhile, occupation forces invaded the town of Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of Jenin, sparking protests from local citizens.
Media sources said that Israeli soldiers opened fire with live rounds towards those who resisted the incursion; no injuries were reported.
In related news, a Palestinian child was killed on Saturday by an unexploded ordnance in the village of Al-Rashaida, south of Bethlehem in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that 7-year-old child, Mohammad Yasser Ali Rashaida, was killed on Saturday morning after an unexploded Israeli landmine in the village of Al-Rashaida.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 825 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 170 children, and injured 6,500.
The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 223 in Jenin, 187 in Tulkarem, 93 in Nablus, 77 in Hebron, 66 in Tubas, 59 in Ramallah, 50 in occupied Jerusalem, 33 in Qalqilia, 21 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 45,227 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 107,573 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remain buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
