Meta is currently experiencing a major outage across all its platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
Affected services include; Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are all down. Meta has not yet released an update or comment on the outage.
On Facebook down detector there was a spike around 5.30pm with people reporting issues with the social media platform. On X a number of people have started to post about issues with the site.
X User @raaiyaanmahmud wrote: “Me running to Twitter to see if everyone else’s Facebook is down or if it’s my internet.” Others have reported getting an error message when they try and get on to the page which reads ‘this page isn’t available right now, this may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed’.
