EMMERDALE star James Moore married his partner Sophie Edwards this week at a stunning lakeside manor house.
The 32-year-old actor, who plays Ryan Stocks in the ITV soap, moved his wife to tears on the big day as he detailed the challenges he faced growing up with cerebral palsy.
She told OK!: “That really tugged on everybody’s heartstrings because it just proves that love is there for absolutely everybody. It was one of my highlights of the day. His speech ruined me.”
One hundred guests attended the venue in Cheltenham for the nuptials and it was filled with plenty of fun and laughter.
The happy couple put their stamp on every little detail, from the seasonal inclusion of pumpkins to a bouncy castle that allowed guests to let out their inner child.
The groom opted against traditional suit colours, instead wearing a purple outfit the same shade as a Dairy Milk chocolate box, while Sophie wowed in a white dress.
There was a Simpsons themed donut wall and a temporary tattoo station with a plethora of Pokemon designs.
The couple first began talking on a dating app, and it wasn’t until they met that Sophie realised James had a disability.
Sophie, who teaches children with special educational needs, had no idea James was a famous actor either, but her mum, who is a big Dales fan, was ecstatic.
They got engaged last May with Sophie showing off her sparkling pink ring.
Her mum walked her down the aisle to McFly‘s All Bout You, and there wasn’t a dry eye as the pair said their ‘I dos’.
Emmerdale was well represented on the day with big name stars like Emma Atkins, who plays James’ on-screen mum Charity Dingle, Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk) and Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle) all turning up to support them.
