Thousands of people have marched through Glasgow for the 2024 Pride parade.
Streets were brought to a standstill as marchers walked from Festival Park in the southside to Glasgow Green on Saturday afternoon.
The colourful procession took in the city centre and through the Gallowgate towards the park in the east-end with the historic Barras Market transformed into the Pride Market for the day.
Musical acts including Whigfield, Jedward and a Girls Aloud tribute band entertained the large crowd on a stage at the Barrowland Ballroom.
Heavy rain throughout the city could not dampen the party atmosphere with marchers singing and dancing throughout the day in a sea of colour.
A huge rainbow mural stretching an impressive 70 metres was unveiled in Glasgow to mark the annual parade which was attended by an estimated 50,000 people a year ago.
Two additions to the City Centre Mural Trail were created to celebrate the Pride march and the Merchant City Festival.
The artworks, named Rainbow Street and Rainbow Place, can be found on Wilson Street and have been described as a “symbol of solidarity” with LGBTQ+ Glaswegians.
Councillor Susan Aitken, leader of Glasgow City Council, said: “These fantastic new additions to our much-loved city centre mural trail are a physical reminder that Glasgow is committed to being a welcoming and inclusive city for LGBTQ+ residents and visitors alike.
“They are a symbol of solidarity with LGBTQ+ Glaswegians and support for global human rights and equality.
“With Glasgow’s Pride celebrations and the return of the Merchant City Festival this weekend, these new installations will help bring colour and vibrancy to our city centre.
