Bethany Dobson, a fitness coach from Lancashire, shared a ‘no BS’ tip for ‘fat loss’ when you’re choosing Tesco meal deals on the go. Her advice is game-changing
A supermarket Meal Deal can seem like a minefield when you’re trying to eat healthily.
You might be tempted to opt for a salad, smoothie and a ‘health’ bar if you’re counting calories, but this isn’t always the best choice. A woman has shared a straightforward tip for “fat loss” when picking your lunch on the move, warning people not to fall for the “health marketing” that’s rife in the fitness industry.
Bethany Dobson, from Preston in Lancashire, told YouTube Shorts viewers that the Meal Deals many think are healthy actually “come to around 1,000 calories” and will only “fill you up for about 20 minutes”.
She then promised to show viewers a better option and picked up a sandwich. Despite containing bread, which many trying to lose weight avoid, it’s lower in calories and more satisfying.
“It’ll actually fill you up, and make you stick to your calories”, Bethany advised. She suggested people “swap the salad for a chicken salad sandwich”, replace your “healthy drink with a zero-calorie fizzy drink”, and exchange your health bar for a protein yoghurt”.
The 23-year-old pointed out that this alternative “only comes to 500 calories which is half the amount of calories” and it also contains “double the amount of protein”.
Bethany, who shed the pounds by tweaking her diet, insists that her method frees up an extra 500 calories a day “to eat whatever you want with”. She assures that you’ll “actually stay full” following her advice.
However, she doesn’t mince words when it comes to fad diets and health trends, bluntly stating: “Stop getting drawn into all the health marketing, because most of the time, it’s a load of s***”.
Engaging with her followers, one commented: “This seems so obvious but it really isn’t if you’re not looking carefully at the nutrient info.”
“Great video echoing the sentiment of sensible eating”, another added: “I’d switch out the drink for water but I love that yoghurt it’s so delicious.”
