I’m a fashion writer and here’s my top swimwear picks from Primark

Must read

Shoppers will be starting to think about what wardrobe they will be taking abroad with them this summer – including which swimsuit options they’ll be wearing. As every year, Primark has a brilliant and affordable range for shoppers to get their hands on that caters to all tastes.

From brightly coloured bikinis and swimsuits and brilliant cover-ups, there really is something for everyone.

Having lived by the beach for many years while growing up, a bikini was a must-have in my wardrobe and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t buy a new one each year. And the majority of the time I bought, and still do buy, from budget retailer Primark.

Primark’s swimwear section is rather impressive with its diverse selection. Intrigued at what might be on offer this summer, I took a look through its website to see what I could find.

If you’re looking for something different but still stylish this summer then the Cutout Detail Bikini Set could be the perfect option. Catching my eye for its trendy cutout top, which I just love, this bikini will cost shoppers £9 and comes in two different colours, brown and khaki, reports the Daily Record.

Crafted from ribbed fabric, the top sports slim shoulder straps and a trendy v-cutout detail in the middle, perfect for those wanting something different from their normal style.

Next on the list is the Monochrome Crochet Tie Bikini, priced at £14. This black and white bikini is a classic triangle shape that has been a favourite among customers for years. With ties on both the top and bottoms, this classic style has been given an extra twist with the monochrome design which I just adore.

If you’re wanting to wear a bikini this summer, but want something with a little more coverage then the High Apex Bikini set, priced at £9, might be just the ticket. The bottoms are slightly higher, creating a high-waisted effect, and the bra cups offer additional support and coverage. This set strikes the perfect balance between modesty and style.

If you’re not a fan of bikinis and prefer a one-piece, Primark offers some great options, including the Ring Front Halter Swimsuit, which costs £12. Available in two colours, this swimsuit avoids looking dated or overly sporty. The halterneck design with a ring detail adds a nice touch.

Lastly, you can never go wrong with a cover up and the Sheer Beach Shirt from Primark could be a great option. Available in three colours – orange, white, and bright green – this top is priced at £8 and would look fantastic over a bikini when heading for a bite to eat.

If nothing quite took your fancy you can head to the Primark website to see what else they have to offer.
