MAURA Higgins has revealed she got the ultimate revenge on an ex-boyfriend before signing up to Love Island.
On tonight’s episode of I’m A Celebrity, Jane Moore grilled Maura on how she landed on the beloved ITV2 dating show back in 2019.

Maura revealed she had a boyfriend at the time she was offered the chance to take part on Love Island, so initially didn’t agree to it.
But she changed her mind when she went through his phone one day and discovered he had an entirely different life he’d hidden from her.
So rather than confront him, she decided to make him pay.
“I had a plan and no word of a lie, when he went to the gym the next day I got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing in the verges,” she declared.
Mimicking scrubbing a toilet, she added: ““He had a dentist appointment that day!”
She also admitted she considered pooing in his hot tub, but talked herself out of sending that particularly grim message.
Danny Jones couldn’t help but laugh about what he heard, saying: “You don’t wanna mess with Maura!”
After the break-up, Maura entered the villa as a bombshell, becoming one of the most iconic stars in the show’s history.
“I went in like a bull in a china shop because I was so angry about that whole thing,” she said.
Maura ended up making it to the finals on Love Island after coupling up with Curtis Pritchard, coming in fourth place.
The pair dated for seven months before splitting at the beginning of 2020.
Since leaving the Love Island, Maura has appeared on Dancing On Ice, and now hosts Love Island USA’s Aftersun.
She joined I’m A Celeb this year as a late entry alongside Reverend Richard Coles, and has already tackled the dreaded eating Bushtucker Trial.
