With the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2024 finale just hours away, Coleen Rooney’s odds of victory have taken a hit.

Despite entering the jungle as a top contender, bookmakers now suggest she has only a slim shot at winning. The mum-of-four has been overtaken by fellow campmate Danny Jones, whos firmly led the betting markets since the start and is now 4/9 favourite to win the title of King of the Jungle.

Meanwhile, Richard Coles seems locked in for third place with odds of 12/1 for an unexpected triumph. Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati commented: “Danny couldn’t be in a better position, as far as the odds are concerned… with just three names still standing, punters are convinced he’s done enough to see off the chasing pack for this year’s jungle crown.”

Coleen’s mother, Colette, expressed pride in her daughter’s jungle journey and is relieved to see her self-assurance return, reports Plymouth Live. Recalling their camp reunion, she revealed to the Daily Mirror: “As I held her, one of the things she said to me was ‘mum, have I been boring?'”

Hearing this concern, Colette reassured her, stating: “It broke my heart hearing that but I said, ‘no, you’ve been yourself and that’s all that matters. She is obviously thinking about what people are thinking, but she needn’t worry.” Colette affirmed that her daughter staying ‘true’ to herself was most important, saying: “If she went in shouting and being loud, that wouldn’t be her. We’ve seen the ‘true’ Coleen.”

She opened up about the experience, saying: “She said that she had a headache for the first few days because she was getting no sugar, and must have been detoxing, but then she said how hard it had been.”

Colette also shared the adorable reaction of her sons Kit and Cass upon their mum’s return. “They keep asking: ‘Is she here, really? ‘ They kept thinking she was going to jump out from behind a bush any minute,” she said. The excitement was palpable as Colette recounted: “We kept saying to them ‘five more minutes and you’ll see your mum again’. They just couldn’t wait. It was so lovely.”
