I’m A Celebrity fans said the footballer would be an “iconic” addition to the ITV show

I’m A Celebrity host Dec excited fans as he revealed he has asked another celebrity to join the camp. The most recent arrivals to the jungle were reality TV star Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles, both are set take on their first challenge in tonight’s episode.

In a clip uploaded to the official Ant and Dec Instagram account today, November 22, Dec told fans he had offered Premier League footballer Jack Grealish a proposal. Dec asked Ant: “What do you think about Jack Grealish for next year?” to which Ant responded: “I think Jack Grealish will be very, very good.”

In a shocking revelation, Dec said: “I asked Jack Grealish whether he would do the show. I said people have been suggesting him.” In the clip, Dec turned his phone around to reveal a video of the Manchester City footballer on his screen. A shocked Ant could be heard screaming “Oh my God” in the background.

The professional footballer said: “Hey guys, Jack here. I’ve heard that a few of you guys want me to see me in the jungle. I can’t lie it is something that I’d absolutely love to do.” Jack added it was a show that he watched for years and it’s a show that he loves but he confessed he doesn’t think he would be the best in the jungle.

Teasing fans further, the England International joked: “I don’t think Pep would be too happy if I ended up in there this year. But you know, never say never could happen one day. Ant pretended to faint as the video ended before saying “we love you Jack”.

Fans took to the comments to share their thoughts on news. One fan said “when he retires, get him in there” another added “Yess!!! Jack would be iconic in there.”

One commenter wanted Ant and Dec to take on jungle life, saying: “I think the hosts should and get past celebrities host it make ant and Dec do all the challenges lol.”
