iFly shares new cockpit and cabin images of its upcoming 737 MAX 8 for Microsoft Flight Simulator – MSFS Addons

Must read

iFly is back with news regarding their Boeing 737 MAX 8 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, a project that has gained traction in recent months as the team has become more vocal about their work.

After showing the external model in great detail earlier this year, iFly has now released an extensive set of new images showcasing the progress of their highly anticipated aircraft. The images now show how the aircraft’s flight deck and passenger cabin look inside the sim.

The team at iFly also shared an encouraging update about the state of the 737 MAX8 development, stating that “Development is moving along nicely. […] Please note that these are still development captures, and the final version may vary.”

These images provide a detailed look into the interior of iFly’s 737 MAX 8 in Microsoft Flight Simulator, and generally leave good impressions. This seems to be a detailed project with a comprehensive integration of not only the virtual cockpit but also a fairly detailed passenger cabin. Some of the modeling and texturing may not be up to the very highest standards in MSFS today, but they nonetheless look quite impressive. Keep in mind that it’s still a work in progress!

According to iFly, the aircraft is progressing well enough that full flights can be conducted, though it has not yet entered the official beta stage:

“It is pretty far along in that full flights can be conducted, but it is not yet in official beta. Think of it like a real aircraft… all the elements from the factory (AKA developers) have to come together, and some ‘components’ are further along than others. But it is coming together! All pictures are from working aircraft.”

The iFly 737 MAX8 is definitely an interesting project that has been long awaited by some in the community. However, it’s going to be facing some stiff competition as PMDG is known to be working on this aircraft, and surprisingly, Asobo is also developing the MAX 8 as a default aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, an aircraft they claim to be their most complex yet.

We’ll surely continue to learn more about this project in the coming months, so stay tuned for further updates from iFly about their 737 MAX 8 for MSFS!
